Sony Ericsson presented, the first night time ‘Tow-at' event in Europe, the Quiksilver Airshow, last night the August 8th, in Zarautz (Euk).
At the European Final of the King of the Groms, the leading competition for young surfers aged 16 and under, the Europe's first ever nighttime ‘tow-at' event took place last night at Zarautz at 11pm. Lot of people was there for this super night show.
Back to the future in Zarautz, the beach was specially illuminated for the occasion and the boards were also lightened.
Around a dozen surfers, all air and ‘new school' specialists, were pulled at high speeds into the waves by jet skis and have wowed the crowds with their aerial skills. They included France's Damien Chaudoy, Dimitri Ouvré, the rising stars Joan Duru and Maxime Huscenot, the Australian Craig Anderson and the Basque and local surfers, Aritz Aranburu.
The set of the DJ Mahara Mc Kay, Quiksilver Woman ambassador, has helped put the show into the Airshow with her electro sound. Then, the rock band, Helltrip concluded this two amazing days!
Special thanks to Pukas for the amazing lighting board and to Munian brothers for their help on the event!
