Stop 2 of Quiksilver King of the Groms Brazil/South America finished this Sunday May 31st at Itamambuca Beach in excellent waves around 4'to 5', high performance surfing and beautiful sunny day.
Caio Ibelli beat Jesse Mendes at man-a-man Final. Both surfers were ripping through the event, and Caio took the best offered in the final, taking early lead with 7,75 wave. Jesse answered with 7,50. Ibelli's surfing was really fitting to the conditions and he scored a 7,90 wave in the middle of 30 minute final. Mendes tried to hit back, but his 7,05 wasn't enough. Caio had the best wave (9,90) and best score (16,15) of the event at semi final, while Mendes had 2nd best wave (9,50).
