The Brothers Primitive play songs as beautiful and straight up as they can play em. The difference however, between most Alt-Country bands and these guys is evident enough though, usually not long after the first chord is flailed. Kind of like a link binding them. It's actually geography. Yep. A misspent youth in the dirt sprawl and dysfunctional rock that is Sydney's "greater" west. You know, that lower, middle class fringe. Twisted products of a darker environment, always trying to somehow break free. How do you vent that sort of baggage? Rockabilly? Hokey? Blues? Of course not, only blood, bile, broken bottles, scabbed fists, chipped teeth and the occasional burst of punkrock sitting in mournful, melodic wails of worker protest will cleanse these four tainted souls. You see, you need to play hard before you play soft. Dark before light. Ugly before beautiful. They're trying real hard, but they're far from clean yet. Come and see, get your hands dirty, listen to the journey.
